- Temple Office hours have been set. The office is open from 9:30 AM until 1:30 PM Monday - Friday.
- ONEG SHABBATS: We ask our congregants to host an Oneg Shabbat for our late
Friday evening services. Kosher parve cake and/or cookies to be delivered by noon to the synagogue on the selected date.
To reserve your selected date, please contact the Temple Office at 718-442-5966.
- KIDDUSHES: We ask congregants to host a Kiddush following our Saturday morning Shabbat services. To reserve your selected date, please contact Shelly Wakefield.
Events
- We are happy to say that Cantor Oizer Neuman will be with us on Shabbat morning on December 3/7 Kislev.
- The Sisterhood of Temple Emanu-El is sponsoring a Food Drive to benefit the COJO Food Pantry, located in our building. The COJO Food Pantry is the major food pantry on Staten Island distributing kosher foods to its clients, and distributes, on average to 2,800 clients per month, those who keep kosher and those who don’t.
Staples that are needed are: Canned fruit, vegetables, soups, tuna fish, packages and boxes of grains, pasta, cereal... and for Chanukah, vegetable oil and potatoes!
EVERYTHING MUST BE MARKED KOSHER!!!
Please drop off food at the Pantry Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Please call 718-720-4047 to make sure someone is in the Pantry.
- The Sisterhood of Temple Emanu-El is planning a visit to Staten Island University Hospital on December 18 to distribute gifts and goodies to adults and children for Chanukah. Sisterhood is looking for toys donations to be distributed to children at the hospital. Donations can be dropped off at the Temple office Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Jewish War Veterans Post 80 cordially invites Congregation Temple Emanu-El members to a traditional Chanukah Party in the Temple Social Hall with dairy breakfast, including bagels, lox, herring, latkes, jelly donuts etc. Singing, Chocolate Gelt, Dreidels Included!
