- Temple Emanu-El has concluded its celebration of its Centennial Anniversary, which included a special Oneg devoted to the music of Cantor Israel Goldfarb, a Sunday breakfast with a slide show of the Temple's history and a Gala Saturday Evening Dinner on November 17, 2007 honoring the Temple and special well-deserved individuals. Click here for information about this celebration, and for details on obtaining a DVD copy of the presentation "Temple Emanu-El: The First One Hundred Years" from the breakfast.
- Minyan Emergency: We are having trouble making our morning minyanim. Some of our regulars are away in Florida, and the Rabbi and other regulars are away in Israel at the end of February. Please make effort to come so that we will have a minyan in the morning. Please see our SERVICES page for times of morning services at Temple Emanu-el and B'nai Jeshurun.
- Friday Morning Talmud Study: We have instituted a Friday morning breakfast to be held after the morning minyan, followed by a Talmud class. We are currently studying Masechet Megillah, third chapter, which deals with Torah readings, how they are conducted, why and how many aliyahs at each service. (These will not be held while the Rabbi is in Israel at the end of February).
